Strategies & games

«Your brain is a muscle. The more your exercise it, the stronger it gets»

«Mathryoshka»  is an amazing opportunity to sharpen the minds of children while they have fun.

At the start of each class the kids will exercise their minds by playing with mechanical puzzles (E.g. Rubik's cube, Meredas or parlor puzzles). These activities engage both the right brain and the left-brain. There are different levels of tasks for all ages that help kids both cognitively and developmentally. These games and puzzles help children understand how following step-by-step directions accomplish a certain goal. The practice of making connections between what the eye sees and how the hand responds improves hand-eye coordination. Developing fine motor skills such as these and others will eventually help with handwriting, drawing and playing musical instruments.

The next step in our curriculum is Logic Games . These games  work children's  brains in a more mathematical way. (E.g. chess, checkers, Sudoku, Kakuro, math story problems, and more.)

The highlight of the class is when kids will be participating in team-based strategy games. Through ups and downs, wins and losses, emotions and a lot of laughs – live strategies will encourage kids to work, learn, and play together. Trying to solve puzzles as a group will help them understand patience, teamwork and how to take turns.

The puzzles and brainteasers range from simple fun riddles to difficult problems and prepare children for more advanced tasks.
